Shooting The Chutes, Schenectady
Very good advertising card of "Shooting The Chutes" ride, at Luna Park, Schenectady, NY. Unlike its more famous namesake at Coney Island this Luna Park was part of an chain of amusement parks begun by Frederick Ingersoll (1876 – October 23, 1927) an inventor and builder of roller coasters.
In 1903, the same year Coney Island's Luna Park opened, Ingersoll opened two parks-- Riverside Amusement Park in Indianapolis and Rocky Glen Park in Moosic, Pennsylvania.
