Percy Waters At Work
Rare horizontal format advertising card of the famous tattooist plying his trade on a reclining gent, purported to be Clyde Williams, already covered head to toe with ink. Waters sold mail-order tattoo supplies from his Detroit establishment as well as publishing a wide array of real photo postcards which were sold as souvenirs, display pieces for other tattooists, and sometimes for tattooed performers who went on the road and wanted a pitch item to sell in the sideshow. On verso: in pencil: "Percy Waters At Work, Detroit 1921." DOPS stamp box.
