Broadway & Treyser's St. Louis dime museum was one of the premier places to see freaks, novelty and variety performers from about 1884 until about 1890. Gregory's Dime Museum had previously been the place to go in St. Louis, but fell on hard times in about 1885.

Broadway & Treyser's Palace Museum was founded by well-known bill poster George A. Treyser and his partner, Mr. Broadway. "The National Association of Bill Posters" elected Treyser its President in 1875, and he was active in the field at least through the early 1890s.
