From hardscrabble roots on a turkey farm in Niagara County, New York, seven young girls in a traveling family singing act unexpectedly became worldwide superstars ... or rather, their very long hair did. The luxuriant locks of Sarah [1845-1919], Victoria [1849-1902], Isabella [1852-1914], Grace [1854-1946], Naomi [1858-1893], Dora "Kitty" [1850-?], and Mary [?-1939], were said to collectively measure over 37 feet. They first gained national acclaim at the 1881 Atlanta Exposition, then joined W.W. Coles Colossal Shows in 1882.
