"Princess Valetta," was born Valetta G. Smith on February. 22, 1894 in Bancroft, Iowa. She performed with circuses and carnivals in the mid-late 1920's, including Wortham's Shows in 1927. She was three feet, three inches tall.

Valetta married Elmer O'Dell another midget performer known as "Prince Elmer" on March 29, 1926 in Los Angeles, California.

She had two other marriages. At age 19, on February 12, 1913 she married Stephen Arnold Douglas Armstrong, in Barry County, Missouri.
