Figi Cannibals
In Barnum's 1872 book “Struggles and Triumphs: Forty Years’ Recollection” he claims he acquired his 1870 attraction the Fiji Cannibals by paying a ransom for their release from their enemies who had captured them. Nonetheless, the family of Fijians appeared in Barnum's show, and included two men, a woman, and a male dwarf.
