From Elizabeth Anderson

Clara "Dolly" Scott was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1919 and became involved with the sideshow when she was 23. She was discovered, in fact, at a local fair, selling raffle tickets for the Kiwanis. Her tiny, three-foot-high body was completely immobilized due to ankylosis of her joints. Only her right hand was functional. When addressing the sideshow crowd, she claimed that her mother had been ill with the flu while pregnant, and that Dolly had absorbed excess calcium from her mother's body in order to stay alive.
