Born George Searles, Diane worked for Ward Hall for over a decade, starting in about 1948. George/Diane was a transvestite, dressing in elegant female attire when not on stage. Diane's father had been a professional magician, so after Hall closed the show in about 1961, Diane had a second career as a magician, booking nightclubs. Billed as George Val George, he worked an entire act with doves, and later toured Asia until about 1970. (FREAKS, Issue 7)
