Rare, weird, puzzling and fantastic. This odd 1870's image of a man who resembles a wolf, as his face has gone partially rough with hair or dermitological strangeness. Around his neck is a chain on which hangs a Masonic symbol. His companion, a lock of whose hair he clutches in his hand, is shirtless, wears a kilt or Masonic apron and is very hairy. He also appear to be leaning against a posing stand. Enigmatic to say the least.... While this photo is not signed, another copy found recently is imprinted on its verso with "D.J.
