Larry Wald & His Talking Dolls

This painted showcard is from Hubert's Museum in New York, advertising Wald's "Hilarious Ventriloquism." Wald was a sideshow vent in the late-1940s and early-50s as can be seen by the mention in the below clip from from "The Billboard," Aug 1, 1953. This beautifully rendered, handpainted showcard was used on the outside of the museum on 42nd Street to advertise current acts, and later these showcards were used as decoration inside the museum itself. Blue card stock hand-painted with yellow and white letters.
