Unidentified Handicapped, Bowler-Hatted Man in Cart

This unusual sized mounted photo card features a dapper man with atrophied legs pushing himself along with canes through the mud. Certainly well-dressed, the unidentified man may have had a successful career selling his portrait cards as many disabled performers did. Photo by "ROBINSON & ROE 54 W. 23rd St. NY." Robinson & Roe had galleries in both Chicago and New York City.
