Two Children United Handbill (1833)
English handbill (7 x 4 ¼”) featuring some great exhibits, no doubt all displayed in jars and taxidermied: “Two Children United,” “The Matchless Lamb,” and a “Wonderful Kangaroo Pig.” The handbill reads: "Patronized by the Faculty. The greatest Phenomenon of Human Nature exhibited to the Public!!! TWO CHILDREN United. From the Umbilical Chord to the top of the Breast. BORN ALIVE January 1833, Allowed by the faculty, FAR TO SURPASS THE Siamese Twins. This Phenomenon opens a wide field for inquiry to the Members of the Medical Profession.....No. 28, High-street, Bloomsbury."
