Trip To Mars By Aeroplane

Scarce card from Coney Island showing facade and signage of "A Trip To Mars By Aeroplane." Previously this location housed Fredric Thompson's themed "A Trip to the Moon," which lasted from 1903-1907. In 1907 the ride was converted to this incarnation. Both were cyclorama shows which featured moving cars that traveled as a background changed. Sign over entrance says: "Landing Station Aerial Navigation Co., A Trip To Mars."…………According to Jeffrey Stanton, this location later housed another cyclorama ride, "The Battle of the Marne."
