Pond's Metropolitan Stock Group
Simple, black and white letterhead for this small comedy stock company. Under the "Direction of L.E. Pond." "The Supreme Favorites." "Absolutely A Perfect Organization." "Presenting Latest and Most Successful Comedy Dramas." On May 5, 1903 The Winnipeg Times called the show a "Beautiful Irish Comedy-Drama." This letterhead is from a scrapbook kept by the Baum family-- two brothers and two sons-- who were all coronet players that appeared in everything from minstrel shows, to comedy troupes, to dime museums, to small orchestras and vaudeville.
