Minnie Warren & Willie

What looks like a trade card is actually a paper doll booklet cover printed by McLoughlin Brothers. It depicts Minnie Warren (Lavina Warren's, aka Mrs. Tom Thumb's, younger sister) and Willie (an unknown performer?)..........McLoughlin Brothers published children's books, games, alphabet and building blocks, paper dolls, and other paper toys. The company's color-printing processes were the best of their age, and by 1871 the firm employed some 75 artists-notable ones among them included Thomas Nast, Palmer Cox, and Ida Waugh.
