Mimi Garneau's Flea Circus

This two-sided pitchcard may have been one of the last ones ever produced for a flea circus. Sword-swallower Mimi Garneau took to the training of fleas after she retired from the blade business. Ward Hall had this to say about Mimi's foray into the flea business: "A Tampa jewelry manufacturer fabricated the carts for fleas to pull and the other props. A neighbor's dog was happy to be relieved of some of the fleas that had residence in his tail..........Mimi booked her new act with Sam Alexander's Show at Belmont Park, Montreal.
