A beautiful WENDT studio portrait of a performer who has previously been identified as a very young George Stall "The Mexican Wild Man." Further research and the presence of a signature on the verso of this card, identify him as "Fred Defrates, Age 20. 1893." With simlar facial features and presentation, Stall and Defrates could easily be mistaken for the same person.
