Fighting The Flames, Koehler "Hold To Light"

This is it! The holy grail of Coney Island postcards. The famed Koehler "Hold To Light" series of postcards from Coney Island, consists of 12 different cards. These cards were die cut, triple-layered postcards (the middle layer consists of thin colored tissue paper) with up to 100 cut-outs, which when held up to a strong light have the effect of a stained glass image. The Fighting The Flames card is the most spectacular, and because of this is the rarest of the series, as kids in the early 1900's literally loved these fragile souvenirs to death (and destruction).
