The Famous Samar Twins, Age 2 and a Half

Printed Photo Postcard. The Godino Brothers' first pitchcard from New Orleans where they apparently were exhibited at a piano store. The brothers first landed and were exhibited in New Orleans about January 11, 1911 accompanied by J.R. Louis ("a wealthy mining engineer from Los Angeles"), Dr. James H. Dunlavey, and their father. For their first appearance in New Orleans-- at age 2 years, 10 months, the newspapers claimed they were 4 years old and this first pitchcard claimed they were 2.5 years old.
