Scarce CABINET CARD image of the beautiful Ms. Harper at perhaps 12 or 13 years old, in this terrific, crisp studio image by EISENMANN. Ella had an advanced form of "congenital genu recurvatum" – also known as "back-bending knee deformity". Note the "grass carpet" on which she stands, and the primitive editing-out of a piece of her dress. Fancier than usual Eisenmann design on verso.
