Clyde Eirl Kennison "Six Fingered Boy"
Real Photo Postcard. Six-fingered and seven-toed, curly-locked, long-haired boy sits on a bench, mysteriously placed on top of a flag (or banner) for what looks like a town fire department. The boy's name "Clyde Eirl Kennison," printed on the front of the card, minus the "Eirl," matches that of a man who was fined $50 in 1912 in Northampton, Massachusetts for exhibiting a boy who he claimed was his son. From Bellows Falls, Vermont, the boy's father was arrested after a complaint was made to an agent of the State Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
