Barney Nelson, Armless Artist

Wire-Service Photo. Barney is shown drawing a very decent portrait of starlet Billie La Mar on the roof of a building with his left foot. His right foot appears very deformed, either from birth, or possibly from using it as a hand. Barney was famously photographed by Charles Eisenmann when he was 8 years old (see below example from The Becker Collection).
