Anthony Weiss "The Living Wonder"

Using the billing "The Living Wonder," Weiss probably captured the same curiosity-seeking audience as the traditional sideshow did. This two-sided pitchcard is a well-made example, displaying two views of our subject with body braces for his head, neck and back. On the verso is his pitch: "Having been injured by a Part of a Dyeing Machine weighing at least 2500 pounds falling on my head. X-Ray pictures at the Episcopal and University Hospitals, Phila., Pa., show my neck is broken and fractured. My right shoulder, middle of back and right hip are also broken.
