Who is not fascinated (or repelled) by snakes? Our fascination with these slithery creatures is everlasting. Love them or fear them, SNAKES have always made a great show better. SNAKES evoke danger, sexuality, and exoticism.
In addition, the connection to Judeo/Christian biblical tales adds a layer of fascination which sparks a pointed reminder whenever we see a scantily-clad maiden wrapped with these scaly reptiles.
