Born John Eckhardt, Jr. (August 27, 1911 – January 5, 1991), Johnny and his brother Robert were twins. He was one of the greatest sideshow acts of his era, and as an actor made an unforgettable appearance in Tod Browning's 1932 film "Freaks." Johnny was also an artist, photographer, magician, Punch and Judy operator, and expert model-maker.
