Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, in 1892, Harriet Elizabeth Williams (nee Thompson?) first became a professional midget when still a young child. In her early career she was known as Princess Weenie Wee (or Winnie Wee), "The Animated Chocolate Eclair". She worked at the Dreamland Circus Sideshow from 1908 to 1917 and with Barnum & Bailey Circus in 1910, where she was said to have befriended Chimchim, a trained chimpanzee. Wee Wee alleged that her height was 17 inches and her weight but 12 pounds.
