Born in Columbus, Ohio in 1865, the fat beauty who performed under the name Ida Williams purportedly tipped the scales at 507 pounds. Her real name was E.D. Wenben, and she started appearing as a Fat performer in about 1880. Her first outing at about 17 years of age was with Sells Brothers Circus, but before that she has a career as a singer.
