Alfred Pilgrim
Alfred Pilgrim was born in 1880. Alfred suffered in the womb from an umbilical cord that wrapped about his limbs, so at the age of one year he had to have his arms and legs amputated.
Pilgrim entered the business 9, advertising that he could load and shoot a rifle with accuracy. He also displayed drawing ability, and incredible elaborate calligraphic writing, signing many of his cards with an impressive decorative signature. His career continued into the 1920s. [to be continued]
