Advertising tokens, sometimes called exonumia, are numismatic items not issued as legal tender. This category includes commercially produced tokens, souvenir coins, medals, scrip, “Good For” tokens, badges, counterstamped coins, elongated coins, encased coins, wooden nickels and other similar items. Some were given away as advertisements, and some were sold as souvenirs.
