Armless Man, Cipriano Maghanoy, of Sigijor, P.I.

An otherwise unknown armless, one-legged man from the Philippines-- Cipriano Maghanoy. This rare printed photo postcard by Kraus Mfr. Co, who printed souvenir postcards for Dreamland Circus Sideshow in Coney Island, here in the well-known "wood-bordered" series. The performer is most probably also represented on two other postcards from the collection where he is known as just "The Philipino Wonder" (#279 and #2798). On verso, a short bio: "This card shows Cipriano Maghanoy, of Sigijor, P.I. He is 29 years old. Born just as you see him.
