Horses
In previous eras, the horse was ubiquitous. A part of everyday life for both rich and poor, country folk and city folk. The popularity of horse and riding acts in the circus and outdoor show business in general was enormous prior to about 1920.
Trained horses were, and to a lesser degree today, our most fascinating animal companion and entertainment.
