Leona Young did a variety of Fire Acts, including this blowtorch on the tongue bit. She worked in 1942 for Harry Lewiston’s “World’s Fair Freaks” along with an all star cast that included Martin Laurello “The Man With The Rotating Head,” Melvin Burkhart “Anatomical Wonder,” Freida Pushnik “Half-Girl,” Popeye Perry, Spido The Robot, Joe Allen “Human Corkscrew,” Marie Coultis “Tattooed Girl,” Charles Porter “Ossified man,” Rosalie “Armless Girl,” Zip “Pinhaed,” Flo Jones “Giant Woman,” Othello “Human Balloon,” Zindra “Mentalist,” Loraine “Chimpanzee,” and Dick Discoe “Magic and Punch.”
