Glen Porter had Freak Animal shows from the 1920’s up through the 1970’s. In the early 1950’s Porter also showed Icelandic Giant Johann Petursson. According to Ward Hall Glen’s wife Marge was “a designer par excellence of costumes, and changed Johann’s character to be the ‘Viking Giant’.” As a consummate promoter and showman, Porter sold well-designed and interesting Freak Animal pitch cards from many of his various shows over the years. Porter later settled with his wife Marge in Gibsonton, FL where he died in the early 1980’s.
