Fred William Miller, known as F.W. Miller was born in 1895 in Chicago. He joined the business in his early teens, and in the 1920s owned his own carnival. In the 1930s he was involved in an automobile accident which killed a women, and he subsequently lost his show.

Miller operated Store Shows after that, and later went on to run very successful Girl Shows in the 1940s and 1950s which he ran with his wife Jahala and his son Mike.

F.W. died in 1967, and his daughter Shirley, a Girl Show dancer, later took the show out on the road with her husband, Buzz Barton.
