Nabor Felix "Lightning Sculptor"
Hand-Colored Photo. Affecting image of this Native American sculptor, posed with his sculpts-- a bust portrait of both Franklin D. Roosevelt and George Washington, and a replica of the Venus De Milo. On verso: "From Nabor [...], To Pluto, Sincerely your[s], {illegible]"......Nabor Feliz Netzahualt (1877-1972), also known as Felix Nabor, was a Pueblo Indian and "lightning sculptor." From the 1920s to the 1950s, he made clay sculptures as a sideshow act for circuses such as Al G. Barnes and Hagenbeck-Wallace.
