Almost unbelievable, rare real photo postcard image of this black performer with severe hunchback, undeveloped limbs, and well-coifed hair. Lewis, who may have had spina-bifida, is here posed against a wrinkled canvas background. Possibly billed as the "Crawfish-Boy," or "Turtle-Boy," as some later performers with similar deformities were thus designated and elevated by the sideshow.
