Ticket
Long before tickets were thought of as throw-away, cheaply printed lines of text on strips of pre-printed computer printer paper, show and ride tickets were often beautiful, meant to be saved as souvenirs. The stringed tickets from Coney Island starting in 1880 and going through about 1920 are particularly amazing in the quality of the graphics and printing. Meant to be looped through a buttonhole or belt loop, they advertised the rides and shows one had attended at the various parks of Coney Island. These stringed tickets today are rather rare to find, and considered the premier paper collectible among Coney Island collectors.
