Irretrievably forgotten today– i.e. not a single word has been written on Gaddah since 1892– the dime museum performer was nothing less than a sensation and phenomenon when he appeared first at Worth’s Museum in NY, then in Philadelphia at the Ninth & Arch Street Museum, and (finally here in this ad) at Chicago’s Kohl & Middelton Museum in January 1892.
