Streets of Cairo At The Alaska-Yukon Exposition, 1909
Printed Photo Postcard. Incredible cast of the show out front of the stylized Egyptian exhibit, with hieroglphic-like paintings, and electric light bulbs. The 1893 sensation of Little Egypt inspired such shows, which featured belly dancers, whirling dervishes, and other middle east exotica. Interesting in this case that the heat of the desert has come to the arctic clime of Alaska. On verso: "10909-The Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition-1909, Official Photograph, Published by Robert A.
