George W. Hopp, "THE RECONSTRANTRADO"
This rare pitch card is of little-known performer, George W. Hopp, "THE RECONSTRANTRADO," or Reconstructed in English, an unusual Spanish sobriquet. Hopp was supposedly captured and starved in an underground Cuban prison for 216 days in 1897, thus the Spanish tagline. In 1906 he was travelling with a small carnival that played Indianapolis, along with a geek show featuring geek "Secto" who caught and ate flies. Little else is known about him.
