Benjamin G. Green "The Alligator Man"

Little is known about Ben Green. In his two known biographical pitch books, from the late-1930's and late-1940's, he says that he was born December 18, 1904 and was one of six children.

He also says he has been performing for 20 years in his first pitch book and 31 years in his second, though we have no early evidence of this. While his condition is clearly Ichthyosis, he claims in his biography that doctors have termed him a "Scientific Mystery," and have proclaimed him the "Alligator Boy." Evidently those doctors knew how to bill a sideshow act.
