Paul Kronos was reportedly from Germany and performed in the United States in the years 1923-1924. In a local newspaper account from Madison, Wisconsin in 1924 Kronos' unnamed manager claimed that Kronos was in the Navy (the country not mentioned) and worked as a minesweeper. Kronos performed on the Orpheum vaudeville circuit, and his act consisted of driving ten-penny nails through a two-inch plank with his bare fist, bending iron bars into various shapes, and lying on a bed of nails where a 450lb anvil on his chest was pounded with sledgehammers.
