Shuster was from Jeannette, Pennsylvania, could pick up and hold 9 baseballs in one hand, and could pyramid up to 20 baseballs in one hand.

He appeared in Robert Ripley's "Believe-It-Or-Not" newspaper cartoon at least three times, and also appeared at the 1933 Chicago World's Fair as part of Ripley's Auditorium.

In 1943 he was with Harry Lewiston's World's Fair Freak Museum store show. The line-up included Grace McDaniel, The Great Waldo "Human Rat Trap," Vivian Dunning sword-swallow, Pop Eye Perry, Zandu "Quarter Boy," Geraldine Shaver "Alligator Girl."
