In this detail from a larger 20"x12" Edward Kelty photo dated July 21, 1937, we see the great Giant towering above his fellow performers. Thompson was billed as a generous 8-Feet 7-Inches Tall, but even at an actual height of 7-Feet 5-Inches he is reportedly the tallest man to ever appear in a Hollywood movie. In addition to his film roles and work on the sideshow, Thompson also earned a Law Degree from Marquette University.
