Kohl & Middleton's Dime Museum Fat Convention

Vibrant chromolithographed, though oddly idyllic tradecard scene of children sailing a model boat on the front, and on the verso a plain-spoken black and white advertisement for "Kohl & Middleton's Westside Dime Museum Fat Convention." The excellently rendered line drawing of two rows of corpulent folk sitting in heavy wooden chairs, chatting and fanning themselves is an effective advertisement for what was a large gathering of Fat people on display at this famed dime museum.
