Bly Rice Writer from Ripley's Odditorium, Chicago, 1932

Business Card with Grain of rice glued to it. The rice has words "Mrs. W.P. Sinniger" written on it, seen clearly with magnification. Known as Bly, Ernest Blystone exhibited at Ripley's Odditorium during the Century of Progress, Chicago 1933. Labelled "World's Smallest Hand Written Novelty," this souvenir was made by Bly while the patron watched. "Bly The Rice Writer, World's Record 2,871 Letters on A Grain oif Rice." Bly had been cartooned by Ripley on February 8, 1930 (see below).
