African Pigmy Show

Poorly developed, though nonetheless fascinating photo of circa 1905 "single-o" show featuring an impressively painted banner. The show probably featured an African-American dwarf, though the banner highlights the ethnic and "wild" aspects of the attraction. A ticket seller and talker work the outside of the show, while passersby at the carnival complete a dingy slice of summer 110 or so years ago. A modified version of the photo is also offered here to better highlight the banner's details. On verso: AZO ∆'s stamp box.
